Electron pair dot structure in the case of NH3 is shown by the valence electrons surrounding the nitrogen atom. The dot dot arrangement for ammonia reveals that the nitrogen atom connects 1 pair of electrons with each of the three H atoms, resulting in a overall of three shared pairs of electrons. The NH3 molecule takes a three-sided pyramid-like form attributed to the arrangement of the valence electrons according to its Lewis dot arrangement.
